Movement disorders are frequently observed in patients with liver diseases, especially those with chronic liver conditions such as cirrhosis, hepatic encephalopathy, and Wilson’s disease. These disorders range from tremors and dystonia to more complex manifestations like parkinsonism. This case series explores the spectrum of movement disorders in liver disease, focusing on their clinical presentations, underlying pathophysiology, and therapeutic interventions. We present three cases of patients with liver disease and associated movement disorders, discussing their diagnostic evaluation, management, and outcomes. Our findings highlight the importance of recognizing movement disorders as a key component of liver disease, necessitating early detection and appropriate management to improve patient outcomes.

The physiological process of wound healing includes four stages: hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation and maturation, the correct and coordinated work of which ensures a strict staged regenerative process. However, when wounds do not go through this organized process, their healing is delayed, and this eventually leads to chronic or long-term non-healing wounds. Common signs of long-term non-healing wounds are exudation, reinfection, tissue necrosis, defective re-epithelialization, decreased angiogenesis and excessive production of reactive oxygen species. In general, chronic wounds can be divided into three main categories: diabetic foot ulcers, vascular ulcers, and pressure ulcers. They are usually observed in elderly people suffering from pathological conditions such as diabetes mellitus, vascular diseases and obesity.

The convergence of smart home technologies and assistive systems for visually impaired individuals represents a critical frontier in contemporary Internet of Things (IoT) research. Advances in low-power wireless communication, embedded sensing, and application-layer protocols have enabled environments that are not only energy-efficient but also context-aware and inclusive. This research article presents a comprehensive theoretical and system-level analysis of integrated smart home energy management architectures and indoor navigation and guidance systems for visually impaired users, grounded strictly in the existing body of referenced literature. Particular emphasis is placed on ZigBee-based communication frameworks, hybrid renewable energy integration, sensor-driven perception systems, and lightweight IoT protocols such as MQTT, CoAP, and HTTP. The article explores how remote-controllable room architectures, power-aware home energy management systems, and vision- and acoustic-based mobility aids can coexist within a unified IoT ecosystem. Through an extensive descriptive methodology, the study examines communication trade-offs, protocol performance, cybersecurity implications, and scalability challenges in constrained hardware environments. The results section synthesizes findings from prior implementations to articulate emergent patterns in energy savings, latency reduction, user autonomy, and system robustness. A deep discussion follows, critically interpreting limitations, protocol inefficiencies, and security vulnerabilities, while also outlining future research directions that emphasize interoperability, privacy-preserving design, and human-centered inclusivity. By offering an exhaustive theoretical elaboration rather than empirical experimentation, this article contributes a holistic academic perspective on how smart energy systems and assistive technologies can be architected to serve both sustainability and accessibility objectives within next-generation IoT-enabled living spaces.
